My story

Alright, my amazing supporters, gather 'round for a tale of grit, giggles, and glute pain! I’m tackling the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge—yep, that’s a whopping 24 miles of trudging up and down Pen-y-ghent, Whernside, and Ingleborough, with enough vertical climbing (1,585 meters!) to make a mountain goat question its career choices. Why, you ask? Well, strap in for the comedy of my self-inflicted suffering!

I’m doing this to raise funds for the Jason Robinson Foundation, because apparently, I love you all so much I’m willing to waddle through boggy moors and scramble up rocky paths like a caffeinated squirrel. The Foundation’s all about empowering young people through sport and education, helping them tackle life’s challenges like Jason Robinson dodging defenders back in his rugby days. The goal is to finish in under 12 hours, which is ambitious considering my usual exercise is sprinting to the fridge during ad breaks. Picture me, red-faced, cursing every steep incline while secretly hoping the Ribblehead Viaduct has a secret escalator.

Why Yorkshire’s peaks? Because they’re the ultimate trio—like the Spice Girls of hills, but with more mud and fewer platform boots. Pen-y-ghent’s a sneaky little scrambler, Whernside’s a long slog that tests your soul, and Ingleborough’s like, “Oh, you’re tired? Here’s a final climb to crush your dreams!” But the views? Stunning enough to make me forget my blisters… for about 30 seconds.

I’m doing this for the laughs, the glory, and to prove I’m not just a couch potato with big dreams. Plus, your donations will help the Jason Robinson Foundation score tries in kids’ lives, so I can justify eating an entire cheesecake afterward. Support me, cheer me on, and maybe send a drone with snacks to Whernside. Let’s make this epic—donate now and keep my legs moving (and my sense of humor intact)!
