Three Peaks of Wales for Facing Africa

The Challenge involves climbing the 3 highest peaks in Wales within a day! That's Snowdon 3560ft, Cadair Idris 2820ft and Pen-y-Fan 2907ft.

A small group of us are attempting this challenge on 3rd July and will be raising money for Facing Africa, a charity for the victims of an acute and ravaging infection affecting the face, called noma. The victims of noma are mainly children under the age of 6, caught in a vicious circle of extreme poverty and chronic malnutrition. The clip below shows the terrible effects of this disease and the work of Facing Africa - but warning, this programme is not for the faint hearted!

Facing Africa raises funds for the visits of teams of voluntary surgeons from the UK to Nigeria and Ethiopia to perform facial reconstruction surgery and for the acquisition of related hospital equipment.
