Tideway Central swim and 10 km summer fun run

In the week leading to the 16th June '22 members of the Tideway Central delivery team will be embarking on several activities to challenge themselves.

Emily Black and James Molloy from the team will be swimming 12.7 km as the equivalent length of the Tideway central tunnels, over a 7-day period, aiming to complete their efforts by the 16th June ’22.

Additionally a group from the wider Tideway central team will also be completing a 10 km run on London’s streets and parks, looping a large section of the central area of the Tideway tunnels programme. The run will cross both Albert and Westminster bridges running both North and South of the Thames as a challenge for the team to raise funds for two charities which are close to members of the team.

Maggies provides free cancer support and information in centres across the UK and online. Maggies provides, amongst other things support specialists, psychologists and benefits advisors to help people through the most difficult of times.

4Louis supports families through miscarriage, stillbirth and child loss. 4Louis works across the country to support anyone affected by these tragic events and also to improve the care bereaved families receive from health care and other professionals.
