My story

TMC is a global clinical research organisation dedicated to supporting the progression of life-saving drug development solutions for rare conditions and diseases that are often neglected.

We have chosen Beacon for Rare Diseases as our Charity Partner for 2025 and will be holding various fund raising events across the year

About Beacon for Rare Diseases
Beacon was founded in 2012 as a UK-based non-profit organisation after its co-founders two sons were born with the ultra-rare genetic condition alkaptonuria (AKU or Black Bone Disease).  The global prevalence of AKU is 1:250,000 people.  The aim of Beacon is in building a united rare disease community with patient groups at its heart.  Living with a rare disease can be an extremely isolating experience; both for patients and their families. Rare patients often fall victim to misdiagnosis, delayed treatment, poor care co-ordination and a lack of support.  Rare disease support groups are key to breaking this isolation. These advocacy groups help patients and families live with and manage their rare condition. A rare journey may be long, hard and complex, but know that Beacon will help guide you through every turn along the way

My updates

Wednesday 26th February

Hi Everyone, just a quick update
So … we’re holding a Cake Sale when most people will be in the office on Thursday, 27th February from 12Noon in Trident and it would be amazing if you could put your thinking chef’s hat on, be ‘imaginative’ and bake a cake(s) for people to enjoy after making a donation.
