Trans Pyrenees Cycle Race (TPRNo2)

Event dates: 30th September 2022 – 8th October 2022

My story

I am off to race across the Pyrenees in an unsupported ultra cycle race with a dear friend. This is entails cycling 1600km and 35,000 meters of climbing. The fastest riders will do this in 4 days. We are hoping to complete it in 6 or 7. I am pretty apprehensive and not sure I can complete this, but I guess that is what makes it a challenge! You can follow our dots on https://transpyrenees.cc and we are 148a and b!

My updates

Steve's Trans Pyrenees journey had come to an end after an amazing effort. He had several technical glitches including the gears breaking which understandably had a big impact when you are climbing mountains! A number of hours later he managed to reconfigure the other side to change the gears. Now he has become poorly - probably with the virus the kids had before he went. So in the end it was a fantastic effort going 2/3 over the Pyrenees and the family at looking forward to having him back in one piece! m
