Farnworth and Kearsley Foodbank Trolley Push 2013

Event date: 16th April 2013

Farnworth Kearsley Foodbank is raising money for Farnworth Baptist Church

My story

Alex and several others will be making fools out of themselves to raise money and awareness of food poverty in the UK. We will be running round Farnworth with a specially designed trolley (see below) in various costumes, (suggestions welcome for costumes in your comments box - we will give extra credence to those that sponsor big) and visiting some of the hotspots of Farnworth and Little Hulton!

Phil, the Trussell Trust's specially modified trolley, is touring the length and breadth of Britain to raise funds, food and awareness for the Foodbanks in the UK. Fitted with a GPS tracker, 'Phil' will also be visiting the Farnworth and Kearsley Foodbank! Going for a grand tour of Farnworth, Kearsley and Little Hulton, Phil will be visiting a number of locations, from The Well distribution centre and finishing at Farnworth Tesco where there will be a collection taking place, via churches, schools and other organisations that form part of the make-up of this community, being pushed by the community itself.
We need your sponsors to raise funds for the Farnworth and Kearsley Foodbank and The Trussell Trust, funds will be split 70/30 in the favour of our local foodbank. Funds are vital to the work of the foodbank, ensuring we can continue to expand our service so that everyone in our area has walking access to emergency food when they are in crisis.

Thank you for checking out my page. Making a donation is fast, easy and secure thanks to Give as you Live Donate. They'll take your donation and pass it onto Farnworth Baptist Church.
