Families for Children Trust

We are a voluntary adoption agency providing a range of services including work with birth parents and post adoption work. Families for Children is well respected nationally, particularly for its expertise in placing 'hard to place' children, such as groups of siblings, older children, and children with complex special needs including disability, trauma and the effects of extreme abuse.

Our experienced and highly committed team of social workers recruit, prepare and assess adoptive parents, match them to children, and provide pre-and post-adoption support.

The children we place are more likely to suffer post-adoption disruption due to their troubled histories. However, our disruption rate is 1 in 25, compared with the national average of 1 in 5.
