Wales Deaf Community/World Cup fundraiser!

This challenge is about much more than distance. It's about supporting the future of deaf rugby and inspiring the next generation to get involved in sport.

On Saturday 3rd October, we’ll be taking on an epic endurance challenge at Compound Training Gym, Skewen. Our goal is to collectively cover the incredible distance from Cardiff to Tokyo, the host city of the 2026 World Deaf Rugby Sevens World Cup, where we’ll proudly represent Wales this November.

Using a combination of bike ergs, rowing ergs and ski ergs, participants will work together to add kilometres to our total, with every metre bringing us closer to Tokyo. The more people who get involved, the further we'll go.

The funds raised will be split between two important causes:

🏉 Supporting our journey to the World Deaf Rugby Sevens World Cup in Japan, helping players compete on the international stage and represent Wales with pride.

🏉 Growing our community rugby project, which encourages children and young people aged 5 to 17 to get involved in rugby, build confidence, develop new skills, and enjoy the benefits of sport.                                  We’re especially excited that some of the young people from the project will be taking part in the challenge alongside us.
