Terry Shiels is raising money for Amber Valley Stroke Group
My story
I am a stroke survivor of 10 yrs. I have had to rely on a mobility scooter all that time.
I have decided to try and improve my walking, by using a small treadmill at home to help strengthen my leg, improve my stamina, allowing me to occasionally ditch the scooter. I want to be able to walk round garden centres and the supermarket albeit extremely slowly. To achieve this I am aiming to walk my first 1km over the month of May on my treadmill.
The money raised will support the local charity support group I help run, Amber Valley Stroke Group in Ripley
