My story
Hi, I am Gail Marriott and shop manager at Valley CiDS Langley Mill Lighthouse Charity Shop.
Valley CiDS have 36 charity shops across Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire and I am going to walk to all 36 shops to raise money for the 'Turner Farm - Big Build Project'.
I really enjoy walking and thought that this would be a good challenge for me and it gives a chance for others to walk with me if they want.
So far I have visited 21 shops so still more to visit.
Working for the charity, I have seen how many young people have already benefitted from visiting Turner Farm and this new learning centre will help many more. Hear how Turner Farm has helped one student:
“The past 2 years have been so amazing, and I couldn’t be more grateful. The farm has shown me that I can achieve my dreams, and I don’t need to be scared. I wouldn’t be where I am without all of you. You are all amazing people doing an amazing job.” Marcie, Student
