Walking Miles for Reynalds Cross Smiles

At Friends of Reynalds Cross School, we are launching an exciting new initiative to transform and redevelop our sensory room — a space that is urgently in need of improvement.
For our pupils, a sensory room is far more than just a room. It is a safe, calming environment that supports emotional regulation, communication, wellbeing, and learning. A well-equipped sensory space can make a life-changing difference to the children we support every single day.

Our mission is simple: to create a sensory environment our children truly deserve.
To help make this dream a reality, we are inviting our wonderful school families, friends, and wider community to come together for a special challenge:

Walk 151 Miles for 151 Pupils

We are asking our community to collectively walk 151 miles — one mile for every pupil in our school.
There is no pressure, no marathon medals, and no finish times.
We are not running the London Marathon.
We are not completing a half marathon.
We are simply walking together, at our own pace, for our children.
Whether it’s:

• a short daily stroll,

• a weekend family walk,

• walking the dog,

• or getting out with friends.

  We will complete our challenge during Mental Health Awareness Week on 17th May, where we will come together as a school community to celebrate what we have achieved together. Further details about our final celebration walk will be shared soon.
