My story
September is pulmonary fibrosis awareness month and I am raising awareness of the disease by cycling from Morecambe to Bridlington in 3 days. Any funds raised will be used to support people affected by this devastating condition in the Morecambe Bay area. Alongside respiratory nurse Natalie Waddington I help to run the Morecambe Bay support group which was set up in memory of my mum who died from the disease in 2021 just 20 months after her diagnosis. It is widely agreed that there should be more awareness and understanding of this life limiting disease which leads to increasing breathlessness and fatigue but has no cure.

Panniers packed and short ride out to check balance in the wind
Just working out how much I can pack in my panniers. The answer is not much!! Getting nervous now I have finished work for the week. Ready for a prompt start on Monday. Yikes!
