Our story

Background
When we spoke to Glenn about doing some sort of fundraising a while back he asked if we could do it for the Hospice that has offered such great care to him. What a man! His wish is our command.... So Giles Turner,  Keanu Barroso, Adrian Toader and Jordan Chapman will do this for Glenn...... We run for Wiseman!!
There will be many stories about Glenn from all the people that know him - his love for curry is one that will be told for the ages. With the delivery of any Project, we must have a curry.
Giles' Story
I remember the first time I met Glenn, it was at the BT site, Magna Park, Lutterworth. I was working on the BT/EE Consumer which was my first project since starting with the IT PMO team. The BT Programme had been running for some time so I didnt know anybody. Anyway, in walks this gentleman who comes over and introduces himself to me and made me feel welcome. It was a lovely gesture. Later, I cant remember if it was the same day, he messaged me on teams with the hotel I should book for our meeting in Northallerton. I couldnt get into the Reuben hotel because it was full but he had warned me of all the hotels I shouldnt stay at. He invited me to meet him and the team for dinner, bought me drinks, reminisced about previous projects and made me feel as part of the team. There was also the prank that was played on Joao which is a story for another day!! I knew that Glenn had Cancer before and he had beaten it but then came the bombshell on the 29th of September 2022 - The cancer was back and Glenn had 6 - 8 weeks to live. It was soul destroying! I called him and he was so calm and was more concerned about me than himself. Throughout his battle, we have kept in touch and he has always been a gentleman and is always interested in how I was doing rather than how he was doing. The only way I can describe Glenn is he is the ultimate Ubermensch (Superman); It is 2025 and he is still here.  He is so strong, so positive, so loving.
Jordan Chapman's Story
I have never met Glenn, but the way Giles, Keanu and Grzegorz speak about him makes me feel as though as I know him. He is the kind of person you want to be around, learn from and spend time with. The man has an aura about him; his legacy will live in the memory of all the people that know him. For those of us who unfortunately havent met Glenn, we listen to the stories told about him with amazement.
