My story

If you've found your way to this page, it's possible that you may have been personally victimised by Kelsi saying something deceitful like 'I've planned us a Little Walk.'

You probably thought that meant a lap round the local park, or a stroll to a nearby pub.

When you ventured toward a steep and overgrown footpath you may have nervously asked 'Where are we going?' and been met with some non-committal answer about how fun this was going to be.

You probably swallowed your doubts and carried on, only to find yourself in the middle of absolutely nowhere 3 hours later with no snacks, soggy feet and not a pub in sight.

Some time after that, you probably experienced her telling you that you're 'nearly there,' and became increasingly annoyed as you were told that same thing for over an hour, as you gradually realised that Kelsi's concept of 'nearly' varies wildly from your own.

Yet again, Kelsi is going on a 'Little Walk'. This time, she won't drag you along, but she will ask you to sponsor her in return for that small mercy...

JOKES ASIDE (I know you all love me), I'm doing the Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge with some lovely folks from work on September 20th 2024. This is a route of about 24 miles, taking in 3 of the highest peaks in Yorkshire (5000 ft of ascent in total), and to be completed in under 12 hours. I'm frankly scared witless and you can make me feel a little better about it by donating any pennies that you can genuinely afford.

Truly, even a pound is welcome, and all that money goes to breast cancer research through Asda's Tickled Pink initiative, which partners with Breast Cancer Now and CoppaFeel!. They have raised a £89 million over 28 years. Those funds have been vital for Breast Cancer Now’s world-class research and life-changing support services for anyone affected by breast cancer, and for CoppaFeel!'s educational and outreach work, which aims to empower regular boob checking behaviour.

The Tickled Pink Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge is returning for its 19th year and I'm excited to take part. Thank you in advance for all your support!
