The Big BaNES 100K 2025
Raising for Off The Record - Bath & North East Somerset and Mentoring Plus
Event dates: –
Walkers, runners, cyclists, and water lovers! We are inviting you to take part in this year’s Big BaNES 100k - a flexible, nature-based challenge supporting local youth charities Mentoring Plus and Off The Record (OTR).
We are inviting local residents to cover 100km in any way they choose - be it walking, cycling, swimming, or paddling. Participants are encouraged to raise money for every step, pedal, and paddle they take.
Every pound raised will help local young people aged 5-25 access vital mental health and wellbeing support, and help protect these lifeline programmes from devastating funding cuts.
Thank you for your interest and we hope you will sign up for this year's challenge.

Apologies to anyone who had planned to come to the community cycle day on Sunday. This was cancelled due to bad weather. Let's hope that this changeable weather improves so that our fundraisers can complete their challenges before the end of September.

Hey Big BaNES 100k fundraisers! here's a great opportunity to clock up some extra kilometres and invite your family, friends and colleagues to a fun, inclusive cycle event this Sunday 14th September at Odd Down Cycle Track. It's free & traffic-free. Bring your own bike, or try one from All Cycle Bath & West and Bath BMX Club.

Great news! The Big BaNES 100k has raised more than £2,000 so far! There are still six weeks to go until the challenge ends. That’s plenty of time to get those kilometres in, invite donations, or get involved.
With all funds raised through this flexible fundraiser being equally divided between Mentoring Plus and Off The Record, we wanted to share how £1,200 can make an impact, and help change the lives of young people facing tough challenges:
Mentoring Plus - £1,200 funds a whole year of group activity days for primary-aged mentees, giving them a relaxed and safe space to connect during the holidays, when mentoring is on pause. Supported by practitioners, mentees can develop friendships, learn new skills, build confidence, and improve their wellbeing in local settings such as Bath City Farm, The Holburne Museum, and Greyfield Woods.
Off The Record - £1,200 gives 12 young people who are at breaking point access to six weeks of one to one support, enabling them to improve their emotional health, grow in confidence and feel heard.
