Bex Shreeve is raising money for Mentoring Plus and Off The Record - Bath & North East Somerset
Hi everyone,
I’m taking on this year’s Big BaNES 100k challenge, aiming to complete 100km between now and Friday 26 September, while raising funds for two amazing BaNES charities: Mentoring Plus and Off The Record.
As this is my first big outdoor challenge since 2009 (!!) and I’m planning to get my kids involved as much as possible, I’d massively appreciate your support.
Please dig deep. Every pound will make such a difference!
Thank you for checking out my page. Making a donation is fast, easy and secure thanks to Give as you Live Donate. They'll take your donation and pass it onto Mentoring Plus and Off The Record - Bath & North East Somerset.
Should have signed up to strava, as just realised I’ve missed adding a walk I did with the kids in London.
On a very windy day, we did a 3km circular walk in Blackheath. I knew the rain was coming in, and it would have been a lot easier to just chill at home, but knowing we had this challenge to complete made us get out together.
The kids loved it in the end, and so did I!
Whoop! 5k with these little rascals over the last few days. We’re not being all that adventurous in terms of where we go - but it’s doing this challenge is a really to get outdoors, rather than jump in the car.
Super proud that our daughter is now talking pretty confidently about Mentoring Plus and what this wonderful charity does to support children and young people ❤️
Forgot to add this fab pic of the first Bath 5k Map walk to Kelston Roundhill in July. Organised by Annie, who is the inspiration behind Mentoring Plus collab with Off The Record, this was a beautiful 5k walk with some familiar, and some new faces. I have done this walk hundreds of times, but almost always alone. So, it was a real treat to do it with some lovely locals, and for a great cause!
We’ve been having a great time exploring Kent and London on foot (as much as we can) to get more km in. We did a chilled 5k in Knole Park, followed by another 2km in London.
So we don’t put our daughter on social, but here’s a bit of proof that she did make it with us on a walk the other day.
We have lived beneath the Roundhill for nearly 4 years, and she’s never done the walk with us. It was so great to get her right to the top, sit together, enjoy the views, see a kestrel flying, and chat some more about how we’re going to do this challenge.
Big thanks to my husband, Dan, for helping me motivate her up the very steep hill at the start!
Your donations will help the great work Mentoring Plus and Off The Record - Bath & North East Somerset do.
