My story
My wife Charlotte was diagnosed with Melanoma during the middle of the COVID pandemic in 2020. Through the various surgeries and treatments in the five years since, we’ve needed support from friends and family but also from some amazing charities - including Melanoma Focus and Skcin. Charlotte is now a campaigner on melanoma and sun safety whilst living with Stage 4 cancer.
I got into running somewhere along the way as I found it really helped me cope with the inevitable ups and downs and stress of Charlotte’s condition (and to see off the looming threat of developing a “Dad bod”).
Put it all together, and it’s no surprise that I’m doing the 100 Miles in May challenge to raise money for Melanoma Focus and Skcin.
