Maya Le Garnec is raising money for Off The Record - Bath & North East Somerset
My story
As someone who has never run a half marathon before, I’ve set myself the challenge of running three in just three months to support the incredible work of Off the Record (OTR) BANES.
This charity is very close to my heart as mum works as part of this amazing team. The hard work, dedication, care, and passion they bring to supporting young people in the area is vital to our society. OTR provides free and confidential support to thousands of young people aged 10–25 every year, offering a lifeline to those who need it most.
The money raised will go directly towards their community listening services, funding vital 1:1 mental and emotional support. Every £10 raised gives a young person access to a listening support session, and £100 ensures that a young person experiencing a mental health crisis can receive six counselling or eight listening support sessions to improve their wellbeing.

Bristol Half ✅
Three Half Marathons. Three Cities. One Cause.
I’ve officially completed my challenge of running three half marathons in under three months—kicking things off in my hometown of Bath, chasing down my much-wanted PB in Madrid, and wrapping it all up with incredible support in Bristol, bringing the total to 63km for a cause that means so much to me.
I took on this challenge to raise money for Off the Record Bath, a fantastic charity that supports young people's mental health—somewhere my mum works and a place doing real, vital work every day.
Each race brought its own challenges (and barely functioning knees), but your encouragement and donations have kept me going. I’m beyond grateful for every bit of support along the way!

Well well well…
42 Kilometers later and I am sooo close to completing my challenge! Madrid was an incredible experience but it didn’t come without its challenges. Who knew Madrid was so hilly?!
Heat, Hills and a very nearly broken knee but still managed to smash it in under two hours (1hr51mins - my personal record)!!
I’m geared up, carbed up, rested up and ready for the LAST ONE! (in less than 4 days - YIKES)
I am continually grateful to everyone for their donations and support. Please share my journey around, to help me raise as much as I can for Off The Record, Bath.
