Apollo Home Healthcare are raising money for Leeds Hospitals Charity
We’re happy to share that our chosen charity for 2024 is a charity that is very close to our hearts… the Leeds Hospitals Charity - The Rob Burrow Centre for MND Appeal.
Inspired by our fearless client, Ian Flatt, and the many people we support who live with Motor Neurone Disease (MND), we have set ourselves a target of raising £5,000, across all our offices, towards this Appeal.
There is currently no cure for MND which can make moving around, swallowing, and breathing increasingly difficult, but there are treatments that can help reduce the impact it has on a person's daily life. With the right support in place, many people can live with the condition for many years.
Already a beacon of hope for many, we hope that by supporting #TeamFlatt and the Leeds Hospitals Charity in this Appeal, many more people affected by MND can benefit from the amazing vital services available, including emotional, physical, and practical support, along with expert care, compassion, and kindness.
So, the challenge has been set and we have invited our teams to get involved with one of the many challenges set by #TeamFlatt and to organise or join in with one of the many fundraising events we plan to hold throughout the year. We hope to see some of our clients joining in with the fundraising too!
We have many talents between us, so watch this space for marathons, walks, bake sales, coffee mornings, quizzes, and competitions a plenty, plus lots more… all in the name of this amazing cause.
You can keep up to date with our fundraising right here and support us too. So, feel free to share the link to this page and spread the word of our fundraising endeavors for such a great cause!

On 22 June 2024, Managing Director, Laura Walker and members of our Central and West Midlands office teams will be taking on the ultimate 5K Inflatables Challenge to raise money towards our target of raising £5,000 this year for MND.
They’re getting ready to bounce their way through the World’s BIGGEST and most EPIC inflatable 5K Obstacle Course yet! Setting off on Start Mountain to take on The Crawler, Swing Shot, The Web, Temple of Doom, The Vortex, The Mangle, Viper, Holy Moly, The Boss, The Demon, and the Beast to name a few of the 32 gigantic obstacles over the 5K distance.
Combined with five pumping music zones to motivate them around the course, this inflatable 5K is the most epic yet and we hope they do well in the challenge and in chipping away at our £5K target for MND!
