Caveman Challenge

I’m going all out to raise money for our £15 to £15k charity campaign, with a unique ‘Caveman’

challenge and would love your support!

I’ll be hiking alone in the Lake District, to find a notorious cave that’s 2,100 ft up a mountain. The

cave is hard to locate and access is both tricky and dangerous. I’ll then spend the night in the cave

and will climb back down the next morning.

Although I’m an experienced hiker, as it’s a solo challenge, I’ll be doing this whilst carrying all my

provisions and equipment for the journey. And as if that wasn’t enough, I suffer from arthritis in my

back and have a slightly diminished lung function since contracting Legionnaire’s disease eighteen

months ago.

So, why am I undertaking such a tough challenge?

It’s simple really. The three causes we’ve chosen for our £15 to £15k campaign all struck a chord

with me, so I wanted to do something personal and really test myself. My dad suffered from

dementia and I lost my mum to cancer, plus of course who couldn’t have been inspired by Rob

Burrow’s battle with MND?

I’ll undertake the challenge on 21-22 September this year and will record the event via videos and

photos.
