Castle Combe Circuit 70th Anniversary & CCRC 2022 Gala Awards Night

Event date: 12th November 2022

Castle Combe Race Circuit & Racing Club are raising money for Wiltshire and Bath Air Ambulance Charity and Race Against Dementia

Our story

The Circuit’s 70th anniversary fell July 2020, but celebrations were postponed due to the pandemic. Now two years later, things are returning to normal, and our busy racing season is well underway, finally concluding November 12th with the long-awaited Birthday & Championship Awards dinner.
This glitzy end of season black-tie occasion has motor racing and aviation as its principal themes. Held at Aerospace Bristol’s Museum, a stunning venue in Patchway within the boundaries of Bristol City the venue is steeped in aviation history and is now home to one of the Concorde airliners it helped build. This example of 1960s technology will now provide a unique and atmospheric backdrop for guests to enjoy this special evening with tables arranged below the supersonic aircraft’s internationally famous fuselage and delta wings, providing lots of unique photo opportunities for guests. This spectacular setting has enough space to accommodate displays of motor vehicles and in addition, guests are able to tour Concorde’s compact yet futuristic cabin and visit the adjoining aviation museum.

The Castle Combe Gala Dinner will collaborate with Wiltshire Air Ambulance & Race Against Dementia to raise money for both these worthy causes.

Today, 55 million people around the world have dementia. Unless a cure is found, one in three people born today will die with dementia. A new person develops dementia every three seconds. This crisis cannot continue. Race Against Dementia is driven to raise money to fund breakthrough and innovative dementia research.

Wiltshire Air Ambulance is a charity that provides an essential Helicopter Emergency Medical Service (HEMS) across Wiltshire, Bath and surrounding areas. It needs to raise £4m a year to continue its life saving service but is not directly funded by the Government and receives no National Lottery funding, so relies on generous public donations.

There will be numerous ways of supporting the above charities on the night, but if you would like to make a donation now, we'd be grateful for your support.
