Georgia?s Tandem Skydive

I am going to do a tandem skydive to raise money for Gingerbread and in rememberance of my dad who passed away. At Gingerbread, they think single parents do a brilliant job - which is 100% true! They are the leading charity working with single parent families, supporting, advising and campaigning with single mums and dads to help them meet their family?s needs. 1 in 4 families in the UK are now headed by a single parent, however many single parent families continue to experience poverty, disadvantage and stigma. By supporting Gingerbread, you?ll be helping single parents across the country to receive expert advice, practical support, as well as get their voices heard.

This charity is close to my heart as I lost my dad just before my 6th birthday, it has meant my mum has brought me up on her own and at times I have felt at a disadvantage from only having one parent. I want people to be more aware of how demanding and difficult it can be to be part of a single parent family and how incredible my mum and other single parents do to raise their child/children alone. I am very fortunate that my family have always supported and helped my mum and I when we are in need of help however some single families aren?t as fortunate as me to have a support network to help them and guide them.
