The Great North Run

On September the 10th I will be taking part in this years Great North Run. I will be running to raise funds for Kilton Thorpe school. It is a school for children aged between 3 to 19 years with special educational needs,ranging from moderate, severe and profound learning difficulties. It also includes children on the Autistic spectrum.
The school have specially trained staff and specialist equipment. All of which help aid the children in their learning process and help to give them the skills they need for life after they leave.
The reason I have choosen this fantastic school is because of a special little boy named Rhys.
Rhys is 10 years old and has been attending Kilton Thorpe since he was 5.
Any funds raised will go towards specialist equipment and will help all the children,including Rhys, on their journey into adult hood.
