London Marathon 2025 - TeamDEBRA🦋

This year, I’m lacing up my trainers once again to take on my second marathon. If you'd told me last year I'd be doing another one, I would have laughed – after all, I swore I'd only ever run one. The physical pain, the mental challenge... it felt like something that could only be endured once. But here I am, getting ready for the London Marathon 2025.
As I reflected on my journey, I realised something profound. The discomfort I feel during those grueling miles is temporary – it ends the moment I cross that finish line. But there are people who live with physical pain every day, facing mental battles that never stop. I’m talking about those who suffer from Epidermolysis Bullosa (EB). For them, pain is constant, and the mental toll is immense.
The strength they show is extraordinary, and it’s that strength that’s inspired me to run again. I’ve chosen to run this marathon not just for myself, but for DEBRA, the charity that supports people living with EB. I’m running to raise awareness, raise funds, and remind us all that no challenge is too great when we support one another.
So, once again, I’ll push through the discomfort, knowing that my choice to run is a privilege. It’s a small sacrifice compared to the challenges others face, and if I can make even a small difference through this, it will be worth every mile.
