My story
In May I will be completing 100 miles (running/walking) for Melanoma Focus. The charity is close to my heart as my Dad was diagnosed with stage 4 metastatic melanoma in January. Since his diagnosis, life has been a whirlwind. He has started on immunotherapy, which has its complications and is safe to say, Dad has pretty much experienced all of them. Most melanomas start on the skin, as a mole, but can spread to all parts of the body. They are mostly caused by sun exposure, the risk can be minimised by wearing SPF!! Also being vigilant and checking your skin. I have learnt so much about melanoma in the last 4 months with the help of Melanoma Focus. It has enabled me to advocate and support Dad the best that I can. Please donate if you can, thank you.
