Imagine what it is like to flee your home in fear. To arrive in a new country with nothing but your life.

Winter is fast approaching, there are thousands of people in Calais seeking refuge from war, pain and death.

Nikki and I have decided on the 8th of October to walk from Motherwell to Downing Street, a total of 400miles.

Raising money and receiving supplies is important to this cause, but raising awareness and changing the narrative is vital.

While the Government continues to play politics over the humanitarian crisis; there are people, amongst them thousands of children, facing a winter in conditions we would not leave the family pet outside in.

Lets challenge the narrative, let us help people and change the way we are as a world. We can be better than this.
