Guildford Cathedral 24 Hour Organathon

Event date: 28th September 2012

Guildford Cathedral Music Department is raising money for Guildford Cathedral Music Development Foundation

My story

Come and join us between 8pm on Friday 28 and 8pm on Saturday 29 September 2012 for 24 hours of organ playing by Guildford Cathedral Organists, Sub Organists and Organ Scholars past and present. Confirmed organists so far are: Katherine Dienes-Williams, Paul Provost, Stephen Farr, Peter Wright, Dave Stevens, Alex Berry, Martin Holford and latest organ scholar Graham Thorpe.

Help the organists to raise funds for the Guildford Cathedral Music Development Foundation (Registered Charity No 1093933) in any or all of the following ways:

Click on the big green 'GIVE NOW' then 'Donate' button at the top of this page and sponsor the organists, you are welcome to request a piece of music in the comment's box.

Join us for first hour flourish at 8pm on the Friday - a rousing free recital - no tickets required.

Even better still buy a ticket for 'A night to remember' which is a lock-in the Cathedral from 10pm to 8am - £45 per person to include a full English Breakfast in the Refectory and free entry to the Finale Concert (Bring your own camp bed and sleeping bag. Cloakroom facilities, hot and cold drinks will be provided in the Crypt).

Buy a ticket for the 'Finale Concert' last night of the Proms style with the Cathedral Choir at 7pm on Saturday 29 September - £10 per person to include post-concert drinks.

All tickets can be purchased from the box office at guildford-cathedral.org.

A full programme of who's playing when will be posted here nearer the time.

Thank you for checking out my page. Making a donation is fast, easy and secure thanks to Give as you Live Donate. They'll take your donation and pass it onto Guildford Cathedral Music Development Foundation.
