My story
I love swimming. I love a challenge. I need to get fitter than I am. So I've decided to swim the Kessock Ferry Swim this year from South Kessock to North Kessock and back. When my family lived in Munlochy in the 1950s I doubt if we knew that people were swimming this crossing every year. We went across on the ferry to Inverness and back on a regular basis and I remember seeing Porpoises swimming by. Now the swimming challenge is back and I am going to do it. The sponsorship is to help local charities so it is a good cause.

My updates
Getting closer to the day! 10 days left for training, resting and working out what to eat before we go on the 25th June at 5pm. Yesterday I swam the full distance so I know I can do it within the hour. Hoping for good conditions ( Hmmm - maybe shouldn't have mentioned that).
Only 4 weeks to go!! I've got the distance marked out at Rosemarkie Beach for practice so just need to keep going to get there in one.
OK, I'm committed to this. I have been training for the past couple of months. I've had some coaching in how to swim the crawl more efficiently and building up my distance. Onwards!
