My story

A group of us from South Wales have teamed up to show our support for our friend Ian who was diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease in 2019 and his incredible challenge to climb 7 Mountains in 3 Countries for 1 Goal - The Rob Burrow Centre for Motor Neurone Disease appeal.

Ian will be in his off road wheelchair, known as the Tangerine Dream Machine, and we will be assisting Ian in his attempt to climb ‘Our Mountain’ – Pen y Fan in the Brecon Beacons National Park, which is the highest peak in South Wales at 886m (2907ft). The climb up Pen-y-Fan will be the 4th of 7 Mountains Ian is going to climb in just over 3 weeks between 15th June and 7th July 2024.

Ian's 7 Mountain challenge inspired by Rob Burrow and his family will scale 7 Mountains across England, Wales and Scotland in his Tangerine Dream Machine;

15th June 2024 - Whernside
18th June 2024 - Wild Boar Fell
21st June 2024 - Mount Snowdon on Global MND Awareness Day
25th June 2024 - Pen-y-Fan
29th June 2024 - Ben Chonzie
3rd July 2024 - Skiddaw
7th July 2024 - The Yorkshire Matterhorn on Rob Burrow Day

Please help us support Ian and the Rob Burrow Centre for MND appeal to raise as much money as we can.

Thank you
Jon and Team
