The St George’s PAT dog Team hosted their PATnic this afternoon in the Atkinson Morley Courtyard. It was a well attended event of patients , visitors and staff with lots of cake , strokes and cuddles with all the doggies!

Our story
The St George’s PAT dog Team have been visiting the hospitals wards, patients & staff for 5 years and have built up great friendships & connections whilst witnessing first hand the benefits of distraction and comfort that their therapy dog visits provide.
As well as offering companionship to patients who might feel isolated, confused ,lonely, frightened or missing a pet of their own.
These visits can also aid a patient’s recovery and rehabilitation and help improve mental health and well being.
We thought the PATnic would be a fun event to host at St George’s Hospital where staff, patients & visitors who might be glad of a break can pop along for some doggy strokes & cuddles with a choice of cake whilst raising funds for this wonderful charity.
