My story

Salmon Run is a community celebration of the remarkable but endangered Atlantic Salmon, its journey, and its ecological and cultural significance within the Exe. Weirs, the changing climate, loss of species diversity and pollution all have their impact on these iconic fish.

Starting at the mouth of the river in Exmouth, ‘Samantha’, the salmon baton is pulled from the sea and ran in relay 50 miles by teams all the way to all the way too Exmoor at Tarr Steps .

The Exe is a beautiful river and its salmon are in trouble. The Salmon Run is a great way of raising awareness for these incredible fish, while bringing us all together through the amazing sport of group trail running!
