Silver Jubilee Challenge

We want to thank everyone so far for the support. Each day we are averaging 10K by walking mostly. Sue does a great amount of walking at work and Charles gets those steps in with our dog Moabi. Recently Sue lost her mom and coworkers sent a generous donation in her mothers memory to Ape Action Africa. We are going to match this and place the funds here on the challenge. The kindness and thoughtfulness must be paid forward!

We updated our cover photo to one from 2016 when we were in the forest together. An orphaned guenon arrived which was named Charles. He needed a new quarantine holding space. Together with the help of Landry, we refurbished an old one with new mesh, platforms, climbing ropes and feeding stations. Just one of the many things a project like Ape Action Africa provides to help those orphans adjust to their new life. Eventually Charles integrated into the forest monkey enclosure and lives there with his new family.

Thank you for the incredible support! Today we took to the lake for some kayak exercise therapy and paddled 5 kilometres together. Happened upon many swans, terns and cormorants, sharing the waters peacefully. Ending our day with a long Moabi walk ☺️

Yesterday Charles out did himself by logging in 12.5 kilometers of walking! And the previous day 5 kilometers, we are on the way.
