Simone walking 10k for Heba

My name is Simone and I am walking for Heba because they helped me become more independent in this country.

I come from Abidjan, Ivory Coast. When the troubles started in the 2000s my employer, Paribas Bank, withdrew from the country. It wasn?t safe back home, and there was no work, so I came to London. When I arrived I couldn?t speak to anyone or explain anything because I didn?t know English.

A woman at my daughter?s school told me Heba could help me. I joined the beginner class. I have learned a lot of things at Heba, especially in my English for business class ? how to open an account, make cards, present a product so it looks professional. From this class, I started a small business buying and selling dresses between London and Abidjan. My friends and family help me.
Now I want to expand my business, and I can because my communication is better ? I?m fluent in English now and this helps me with networking.
