Wayne & Ben are raising money for Bedazzle
As some of you may know, I had quite a severe break down two years ago, which left me on the brink of suicide. Thankfully, I managed to find the right tools & strategies inside myself to still be alive and now be in a position to help others, who aren’t as lucky as myself.
Christmas Day is usually a day for family and visiting loved ones. I will be giving up time away from my son and family; including my mother who has stage 4 lung cancer, to complete this for a well worthy cause. The driving force is too empathise with those people, who have recently lost parents or had to bury their children due to mental health or any other illnesses.
Please help by sharing, donating and raising awareness.
Let’s Make 2020 be the year we start taking our mental health seriously!
Love, Wayne
The untimely deaths of Kevin McKellar (24/08/14) and Druew Tobie (05/01/16) through mental ill health, were the inspiration for establishing Bedazzle in 2016. Kevin’s birthday was December 25th, so when Wayne had the idea of kick starting the Year of Pain on this day, conquering a mountain to remember all those empty seats at tables for loved ones lost, it made perfect sense.
In January 2019, we were awarded the Thrive Mental Health Star Award for the Black Country in recognition of our work to date and we are excited to build on this work in 2020!
Please spread the word, share and donate what you can, as mental health doesn’t discriminate in who it affects! Thanks in advance for your continued support… Ben
