Countess Of Chester Neo Natal Unit - BabyGrow Appeal

On Aug 3rd 2013 myself, Rhys & Lewis will be taking part in Total Warrior - a 10k obstacle course in the Lake District. The 10k, 25 obstacle course has been designed by ex-military personnel to bring the ultimate test of strength, stamina, mental determination and teamwork.

So we thought, yeah why not!

We have all been training hard to become ninja warriors in order to complete the obstacles such as The Human BBQ, The Shocker, Worm muncher and ball breaker. Fire, electric shocks, mud and slippery balance beams to name a few. - totalwarrior.co.uk/course/

6months ago it seemed fun but 2.5wks away from the day I am scared!

We?re doing it to raise money for the Countess Of Chester Neo Natal Unit - BabyGrow Appeal, they are raising money to fund a new Neonatal Unit , providing better facilities for their families and patients. The unit has 20 cots providing specialist care for premature or ill newborn babies.

?Our Neonatal Unit was built in 1974 and is now outdated in terms of décor and design. Our charity exists not to replace NHS services, but to provide the ?extras? over and above core NHS services by enhancing and improving facilities for our patients. The Babygrow Appeal has been launched to raise £3 million to build a new Neonatal Unit that will provide better facilities and a more spacious environment for our patients and their families.?
