James is raising money for Glencoe Mountain Rescue Team
West Highland Way 2010
Event date: 4th September 2010
My story
Hi,
On 4th September, I'm setting off to walk the West Highland Way with my dad to raise money for the Glencoe Mountain Rescue Team.
Two years ago we were walking in Glencoe when he had a fall and was very badly injured. Thanks to the volunteers that came up the mountain with a stretcher and full medical supplies, he was airlifted to hospital and has since made a full recovery.
The West Highland Way stretches 95 miles from Glasgow to Fort William. We'll be taking our tents and sleeping bags, and hope to make it to the end (in one piece, this time) within the week.
If you think our efforts merit a little donation to this remarkable charity then it would mean very much to us, and will help them continue saving lives in some of Britain's wildest countryside.
Many thanks
James
