Active education minibus fund

My partner and I have amassed over 30 years of experience working within SEMH provisions. Providing the most vulnerable and challenging children in and around Sheffield with a meaningful education. We are experienced in leading and reviewing an array of qualifications and vocations, including; Sports Leaders, BTEC Sport and the various Duke of Edinburgh awards. Both individually and as a team we have successfully run many residential trips which have been labelled a resounding success by pupils, parents and teachers. We both possess a profound understanding into what procedures need to be put into place in order to meet the needs of our SEMH students. It is through implementing these procedures that ensure that our residentials run smoothly. Furthermore, we have created personalised sport-based interventions to help re-integrate the most disillusioned students back into school. The aim is to get a minibus to help support the project and give our students the chance to access what we believe is the best form of education for these types of children.

Throughout our time teaching and partaking in physically exercise outside of school, we have developed many close working partnerships with private clubs and sport partnerships in and around Sheffield and without a minibus we won’t be able to access the partnerships.

We are looking for local businesses to sponsor the minibus in order to get the project off the ground. Many of the students we work with have never seen the Peak District and know nothing of this great outdoor space. With a minibus on site we can take daily trips and take advantage of what we believe is a jewel in Sheffields crown.
