Carbon60 RACE THE THAMES

Race the Thames Virtual, RTTv, is an online, virtual event based on the River Thames. The event is over one week starting on Friday 27th January 2023 where teams of 8 participate using a range of sports. Race the River Thames – 346km, source to sea.

Marielle Wick, Patrick Jones, Huw Williams, Steve Dartnell, Paul Chapter, Andy Ford, Ben Ross and myself will be raising money for two amazing charities who do some fantastic work:

Lucy Air Ambulance for Children is a national charity that flies babies and critically ill children to hospital by aeroplane to receive specialist treatment and care.
Often the only way babies and critically ill children can access specialist care is to travel between hospitals by aeroplane and we are the only air ambulance charity in the UK that provides this unique service. These transfers provide life-changing outcomes for the children Lucy AAC fly, including: children being discharged from long hospital stays, overcoming diseases like cancer, and receiving a diagnosis which finally enables families to gain new support from other organisations that are disease/disability specific.

London Youth Rowing, are a youth charity that motivates, inspires and empowers young people from disadvantaged communities through the life skills gained from Rowing, a sport uniquely placed to help get active, find positive social groups and develop essential life skills through sport.
