My story
I am sleeping out in Liverpool Cathedral for two reasons. The event will raise funds for two causes that are close to my heart. Firstly, I have met and spoken with many genuinely homeless people on the streets of Liverpool. The Whitechapel Centre works to help such individuals and need all the funds we can raise for them. Secondly, during my first ever visit to Liverpool, in 1979, I was shown round the amazing Cathedral and it has been a really important place to me ever since.
