Domestic Violence Awareness Month Fundraiser
Event dates: 1st October 2022 – 31st October 2022
Kay Walker & Samantha Fisher are raising money for Trafford Domestic Abuse Services
Our story
Domestic Violence Awareness Month has been created to bring domestic violence to the forefront of peoples minds and to unify both men and women across the world who have been victims of domestic violence.
Domestic Violence can happen at any age, to any gender, sexual orientation and race.
Together, we can make a difference to the lives of people – women, men or children – who are suffering the devastating effects of abuse in their own homes. We can educate the public and our young people about the reality of domestic abuse in society.
TDAS believes that everyone has the right to live free from domestic abuse.
In completing these daily challenges 100 skips a day and 100 sit ups a day for domestic violence month, we are hoping to not only to increase our own mental wellbeing but the funds will assist to increase the wellbeing of those in need of our support.
£50 Will pay for an art/play session for the children we support.
£100 Will educate four young people about healthy relationships.
£250 Will fund a true colours domestic abuse course for survivors.
£500 Will provide eight sessions of one to one support for a young person suffering domestic abuse.
£1000 Will buy new home essentials for a vulnerable family setting up home after leaving our refuge
