Jeffrey Hewitson is raising money for Age UK Manchester
In memory of my mum, Lily Hewitson
Event dates: 24th February 2009 – 31st December 2018
Thank you for visiting my fundrasing page. My goal is to cycle from London to Paris 320 km! 28th of August 09 to raise funds for Age Concern Manchester.
I have not rode a bike since 1971!
Having struggled with weight gain for almost two years and suffering with high blood pressure, horrendous cholesterol and poor liver function, not to mention on the verge of being a diabetic. It was in January this year when I weighed in at the doctors almost three stone over weight, that I decided enough is enough.
I could not manage to run more than fifty metres without having to pull up breathless. My twenty five year membership at the gym was more about the social aspect than the fitness level. I needed something to focus on, something that would benefit not only me physically, but would be the fabric of something much bigger and that was to raise money to help others more needy.
With a disciplined healthy diet, lengthy hill walks, planned arduous workouts at the gym, I am already seeing and feeling the difference as my fitness level is improving.
I still have a long way to go in reaching the fitness level required, however I am determined and motivated to achieve this and your support will motivate me even further!
