Climbing Kilimanjaro to raise money for St Richard's Hospice

Hello Everyone!!!

In October 2010 I shall be taking part in the Kilimanjaro Summit Challenge in order to raise money for St Richard Hospice Foundation which is based in Worcestershire.

Kilimanjaro, ?The Roof of Africa?, is the highest mountain on the continent and a magnet for trekkers the world over. We will be following the beautiful Machame Route, approaching Kilimanjaro from the south, and through rainforest, moorland and scree, we climb to its snowcapped summit at 5896m for simply breathtaking views. This is a tough but spectacularly rewarding challenge.

However in order to fulfill this exciting and rewarding challenge, I need to raise at least £3400 (the target set by the company so I can go on the trip), of which £1700 will go directly to the charity, which is an amazing cause!

Please note: I made a mistake before and thought all £3400 would go to the charity. However £1700 is still needed for the trip itself on top of what I have already paid, which the charity will be invoiced for. I would love to see the charity get all £3400 and therefore would like the actual target to be £5100

I was fortunate enough to go on a two day induction course and learn about exactly what St Richard's Hospice do! They really do care about people with cancer or other life threatening illnesses and as we walked around on the tour, there was a feeling of calm and a sense of friendliness and comfort!
