Marleigh and Megs 12 days of Christmas

When Marleigh was delivered via emergency c section at 33weeks gestation, we didn’t know what to expect on our neonatal journey. When I finally met Marleigh for the first time (8 hours after delivery) it was through an incubator, her tiny fingers wrapped round my pinky through the small doors that opened on the side.

I had no hospital bag, no deodorant, no lip balm, no home comforts, not prepared for a c section at all in anyway shape or form.

And then Toby told me that ‘a lovely lady called Kelly’ had dropped round a care package for me. Tied in a canvas bag there was deodorant, shower gel, lip balm and various other things. I remember smiling and thinking thank god for that.

The team have been there for us through so many ups and downs. I go to the community meets every week with Marleigh and it’s a chance to walk in a room to smiling faces with other parents who ‘just get it’.

Without SNUG I would be lost 💘
