Philip Hudson is raising money for Cardiomyopathy UK
Please Support The Cardiomyopathy Association
Event dates: 17th May 2009 – 17th May 2018
Unknown to most of us, at least 1 in 500 people have Cardiomyopathy, and only a few of them know. It is an inherited disease, and little was known about it. Most sufferers are born with it, but it does not always show till some time later in life. Then the first thing people tend to do is look on the internet and panic, well, it's only natural to do that.
The Cardiomyopathy Association (CMA) is a registered charity that helps people and their families affected by the heart muscle condition cardiomyopathy. They provide support and easy-to-understand information on the different types of cardiomyopathy. They have a freephone helpline (0800 0181 024) that is manned from 8.30am to 4.30pm on weekdays.
There web site www.cardiomyopathy.org explains the background, diagnosis and treatment of each of the main forms of cardiomyopathy using common and medical terms. They also answer the most frequently asked questions. There information has been prepared with the help of medical and nursing staff familiar with each of the conditions.
There site is for information only and is not intended for use as formal guidelines for assessment and treatment of any of the conditions. All individuals must be assessed by a qualified medical practitioner.
The Cardiomyopathy Association operates a policy of not charging people for the information resources they provide. There view is that this would result in some people not being able to access the information they need. They are a national UK charity that receives no funding from government and need your support to help us continue our provision of information and services to help people and families affected by cardiomyopathy.
If you find this information resource helpful please help them by joining the CMA and/or Making a Donation
The association's work is recognised and supported by The British Heart Foundation and The British Cardiac Society. So please give what ever you can spare and support the C.M.A. every penny helps.
Thank you for checking out my page. Making a donation is fast, easy and secure thanks to Give as you Live Donate. They'll take your donation and pass it onto Cardiomyopathy UK.
