Steph’s Kessock Ferry Swim 2023

Hello!

I’m Steph and I moved back to the Highlands a year ago. Wild Swimming is something I was always interested in, because of the therapeutic benefits.

Many years ago, my mum and siblings moved to the ‘ferry’ (South Kessock) for a few months after escaping a period of domestic violence. The community supported my family, and helped my mum get back on her feet.

My family is now thriving, and I would love to give back to the South Kessock community for helping my family through those months. I‘m so honoured to be able to take part in a tradition that goes back to the 40’s, and combine my love of swimming, a challenge to my endurance and contribute to the South Kessock community.
