tigerbond Race the Thames

We're taking part in Race The Thames Virtual 2023 to bust the winter blues! Four teams of tigers will be taking on the 346km Thames distance (1384km in total!) from the 27th January - 3rd February for two good causes.

Race The Thames is the annual fundraising event run by London Youth Rowing (LYR). LYR's programmes allow young people from disadvantaged backgrounds to take part in rowing, giving them the benefit of participating in the sport and allowing them to fulfil their potential. We will also be supporting Fitzrovia Youth in Action (FYA), with 50% of the total funds going towards the amazing work the charity does. FYA supports local young people with projects which address the issues they care about, such as: community cohesion, healthy living, conflict, drugs, and alcohol. FYA aims to develop self-confidence, increase young people’s aspirations, and gain the skills needed to access higher education or employment.
